It was very clean
The bed was hard. The pool was freezing. In the spring & fall the pool should be warm. Cool in the summer. It was freezing in May. Used it once.

Everything else was to be expected or better.
2 am the office closes, we came back after a business conference to sleep but our keys would not let us into the room. We barely got a hold of the manager before being locked out all night, who then behaved as if it was an inconvenience to her rather than empathizing with us the paying customers. Her attitude was appalling and reprehensible.

I truly enjoyed my time at this small hotel. The rooms were spotless and updated with modern conveniences. The staff was courteous and kept everything well-organized. The central location was a definite plus. In terms of value, the cost of $79 was great compared to other options.

The room was very clean and comfy. The breakfast was awesome and exceeded my expectations.
Very difficult to get into the parking lot from the highway, the intersection (traffic light) is at the entrance of the hotel, with no turn lane.

This really is a remarkably good motel, especially given the reasonableness of the rates. It is one-story and very nice to be able to put one's car next to one's door, just as was the case once upon a time. It surely beats walking through miles of musty motel corridors. And the room was wonderfully soundproof, and what road noise there was was not audible once inside. And best all was the free Continental breakfast, something my wife and I usually skip given how bad that is at most motels. This was exceptionally good, from coffee to fresh berries for waffles and cereal. We will be back when we next tour the area. We were recently six weeks traveling the West and stayed in a lot of motels ranging from budget to posh, and this one I cannot recommend highly enough. The owners were very helpful, efficient, and kindly.
The only very minor negative was that the wifi required a fresh log-in every time one turned on the device. I'd suggest the owners move to simple, log-in free system, as now seems the trend in lodging.
